THE WENDY WILD
DOCUMENTARY PROJECT
"Wendy Wild" Andreiev, my sister, was one of
the leading forces in the New York punk/rock
movement of the late 1970's to the 1990's.

Throughout her life, even as a child, Wendy
defied the "expected", the "conventional".
Young music fans of today are amazed when
they hear her music, with  it's  energy and
surprises.  Her home was Manhattan's Lower
East Side, a haven for musicians and artists
who were not controlled by industry "suits".

The film, which i expect to be under 40
minutes, will cover Wendy's early Long Island
life, her emergence as an artist in the Lower
East Side, and a look at that glorious, thrilling
artistic haven just a stone's throw from
Gem Spa on St. Marks Place.

Right now, I am seeking the following....
INTERVIEWS WITH FRIENDS,
MUSICIANS- ARTISTS…

PHOTOGRAPHS (EVEN
SNAPSHOTS ARE OK)
VIDEO/FILM FOOTAGE OF WENDY/
VINTAGE LOWER EAST SIDE
1970's LONG ISLAND
I have a large collection of Wendy pictures,
some from family albums, others Wendy gave
to us.  (I will need to know who took some of
these pictures)  I have extensive Super8mm
footage of Wendy.

I CAN BE REACHED AT
Gandreiev@aol.com.

A Kickstarter Campaign for the film will begin
soon.    I hope to film segments of The Lower
East Side in the fall.

Here's to making this project shine!
